The first step is a consultation to assess any potential problems. To maximise the results, we usually offer Special Cleaning, an intense deep clean that can be combined with home care treatments. The whitening treatments last several years but this depends on the individual and in some cases a boost treatment can be done with a home care kit. The application process consists of using Carbamide Peroxide Gel and Fluor for the enamel to remineralize and reduce sensitivity.

You can prolong the effects of teeth whitening and prevent teeth discolouration by avoiding nicotine, coffee, tea, cola and red wine.

Some types of staining can be caused by diseases or medicines. For example, if teeth are stained by a type of antibiotic called ‘tetracycline’ then bleaching treatments may have minimal effects and will act instead as a first step in the process. This will be followed by using veneers, which will block out the underlying stain. The results of these are just as effective aesthetically without the need for prolonging bleaching treatments that can have adverse effects on tooth enamel. With just one visit it is possible to change the shape, colour, size and spacing of your teeth with the ultimate objective of improving your smile.
